Hello Deepti,

FSI regulation of particular state is based on many factors such as type of building, the zone in which your plot/ area is located, etc. It is issued by town planning department/ municipal corporation department.  
In Ahmedabad (Gujarat), top locations have maximum fsi value of 1.2, but it can be extended to 1.8 via premium fsi, by paying some additional fees to competent authorities. 
The rules of FSI regulation changes when new state law has been issued. I would suggest you to check the current fsi value in your location by addressing the competent authority or any nearby builder or contractor.]]></description>
