1. Install Storage
Many times we purchase a lot of home decor stuff for our sweet home. But eventually we cannot place them or we forgot to install them. Whether it may be a bookshelf for your children’s room or it may be a key shelf for the entrance of the house or even a wall painting for your hall.
Do it this weekend. All you need is nail and hammer for installing it, make sure the shelves are parallel to the floor and in a straight line. Seek the help of another family member while doing this.
2. Go Green Care Green
Many of you might be blessed with a garden in your house, compound, balcony or terrace. But taking care of these greenary is also essential. Trimming of trees, plants for trim to time is very essential for the proper growth of plants.
This weekend take out some time, trim them and give them a new look. If you have space in your garden, plant some new summer flowers to make your garden bloom. Gardening will, in fact, reduce your daily stress and make you feel relaxed.
3. Update/ Repair Hardware Items
The handles of doors. kitchen cabinets etc gets loosened or damaged and sometimes needed to be replaced. Our busy schedule makes it impossible to change or repair the same.
Despite going through the trouble of using a spoon or knife to open the cabinet. We take weeks to but new handles and then another few weeks just to install it.

Bathroom fittings can really worsen the entire look of bathroom. Due to the wetness in the bathroom, fittings such as faucet, tap, shower head, handshower etc, gets dirty with a yellowish colored texture on it.
You could easily fix this and don’t even need a penny to be spent. You just need lemon and soda to clean up these fittings. Squeeze the juice out of lemon and mix it with soda and you are ready to go.
5. Buying Appliance
Sometimes in the busy and hectic schedule we forgot or delay our home shopping. Appliances in the house gets old or need to be repaired after a period of time.
If you have planned to buy a new appliance, get the latest from the market that is energy efficient and runs on superior technology.

6. Repair of Patch Holes
These shabby patch holes can immediately bring down the entire look of your room. How can you repair them on your own?
You need some putty (which one could easily get in the paint shop) and a knife. Fill the hole with putty mixture and use a knife on the surface to make it smooth. You the can even paint the putty work to match it to the existing colour of the wall.
7. Change/ Wash the Curtains
Cleaning the house is done, but what about that curtains. We don’t consider them, while washing our carpets, blankets etc.
Its time you should start considering them. Curtains may get dirty due to dust, especially the one on the windows.
Summer is here and it’s time to replace or wash those silk curtains with soft cottons or organza. Moreover, the colour combination of the curtains also matters. It make room look cooler and more spacious.
